Golf Club Rules and Regulations

REGISTRATION

  • All residents/non-residents and guests are required to register in the pro shop before starting play.
  • Players must call for tee times at all times and report to the shop ready to play 10 minutes prior to their tee time.
  • Weekend tee times are taken on Wednesday starting at 8:30am.
  • Residents/Non-Residents, who make tee times for a weekend morning, must call the proshop to cancel. Those who don't show without calling the shop to cancel within a reasonable amount of time will lose weekend morning priviledges for the following weekend morning.
  • Single and twosomes must pair up before starting play.
  • All players must have a bag with clubs.
  • Residents must call the pro shop when intending to play a few holes from their homes. This is to insure that golfers already on the course are not cut in front of and for health emergency reasons. Any resident not reporting in at the pro shop or calling, before going out will be told to leave the course. On weekends all players must start on the 1st tee until 6:00pm.


    The golf course is open from April 1st to November 30th.
    Golf Shop Hours will be posted in the Pro Shop

GUESTS

  • Residents/Non-Residents must sign in guests before the round in the golf shop and may only play from the 1st tee.
  • Residents/Non-Residents with a guest must use a cart.
  • Only 1 guest per foursome is permitted on weekend and holiday mornings.
  • Residents/Non-Residents with two or more guests may tee off on weekends and holidays only after noon.
  • Guests are subject to the same rules as their host. It is the responsibility of the residents/non-residents to ensure that their guests comply.
  • A person may be a guest at the Club a maximum of 12 times a year.
  • A guest may play a maximum of 2 times per month from May thru September.
FEES

  • Fees for daily play can be paid by cash or credit card.
  • Fees for Tournament play can be paid only by cash or check.
  • Special functions separate from golf can be paid by cash or check.
  • All merchandise purchases can be paid by check, cash, or gift certificate.
GOLF CART RULES

  • Players must sign in and pay for carts before starting play.
  • Golf cart operators must have a valid driver's license.
  • No more than two people are allowed in a cart.
  • Golf carts are mandatory on weekend and holidays before 2:00pm.
  • Carts must stay on paths near tees and greens. Drivers must obey posted signs.

Golf Etiquette

PACE OF PLAY

  • Play as quickly as possible and avoid unnecessary delays. Leave the green promptly. 9 holes should be played in two hours or less. (Pace of play means keeping up with the group in front of you, not behind you.)
  • A group that loses more than one clear hole must permit players they are holding up to play through.
  • It is the duty of the players entitled to go through, to insist upon their right in order to ensure speedy play. Any group that slows down play and refuses to let the faster group through will lose early tee time privileges for the following week.
  • Players hitting their balls in another fairway will wait until the group playing that hole has passed.
  • Fivesomes are not permitted, unless the Golf Professional or his representative gives prior approval.
  • Be considerate of your fellow golfers by replacing all divots, raking bunkers and repairing ball marks on the greens.
  • Repeat offenders of these rules will have their playing privileges suspended.
GOLF ATTIRE

  • SOFT SPIKES ARE MANDATORY
  • Proper golf attire is required at all times.
  • Shirts must have collars and shorts must be of Bermuda length.
  • Tank tops, T-shirts, blue jeans, warm up suits; halter-tops, work or street shoes are not permitted.
  • Failure to comply with the dress code will result in play being denied.
COURSE CONDUCT

  • Throwing golf clubs will not be tolerated and will result in a fine or suspension.
  • Excessive foul language is forbidden.
  • Excessive drinking and abusive language will not be tolerated on golf club property.
  • Skipping holes during a round is dangerous to golfer saftey and is not allowed.
  • Retrieving golf balls on townhouse property is strictly prohibited.
  • Any complaints with regards to the course or residents\non-residents should be in writing and turned into the golf shop where it will be forwarded to the Greens Committee.
PRACTICING ON THE COURSE

  • The practice tee is open weekdays provided you call the golf shop and request permission prior to practicing.
  • The practice tee is open on weekend after 6:00pm.
  • There will be no practicing to greens or from the fairways or rough anywhere on the course.
  • Colored practice balls or well-marked balls are required.
HANDICAPPING

  • All residents/non-residents must establish a USGA© handicap.
  • Residents/Non-Residents without a USGA© handicap index will not be allowed to play in any club tournaments or social events.
  • Players are required to turn in and sign their scorecards with local numbers, and a member at the completion of 18 holes must properly adjust scores.
  • Any player not turning in a scorecard will be given a score of par on the round.

FURTHER INFORMATION

  • Lockers will be assigned upon request at the golf shop.
  • Coolers are not allowed on the course, all drinks must be purchased at the golf course.
SPECIAL NOTE

  • MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY ARE LEAGUE NIGHTS AND THE COURSE CLOSES TO RESIDENTS/NON-RESIDENTS AT 4:45PM FROM MID APRIL TO THE END OF AUGUST.
  • TUESDAY MORNINGS ARE SET ASIDE FOR LADIES GOLF AND THE COURSE IS CLOSED UNTIL 11:00AM.
  • MONDAY IS THE DAY THAT OUTINGS ARE HELD. (Notices will be posted however; you may wish to call in and check for any last minute changes).
